canoe & kayak hire
Welcome to Three Rivers, a natural place of beauty, along the river and surrounded by countryside views of marshes and fields.
The Boat Shed houses our modern facilities including two shower rooms, a kitchen area, an office and storage room for our canoe and kayak hire. Our canoe and kayak hire is available to guests as well as visitors! We offer electric hook-up pitches for those who wish to have a few more home comforts. There is a slipway into the Waveney River with a quay heading for our guests to launch their own vessels into and easily board (see prices page for visitor prices). We also allow BBQs, campfires and pets (please see OUR REQUESTS section for more information).
Three Rivers is family owned and managed by myself Jodi, a Canadian mum of two who grew up camping!
If you are looking to get away from day to day life and enjoy nature then Three Rivers is the place to visit. We are open year round (weather permitting) and welcome touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents; including families, couples, sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. We have plenty of space and only take a limited amount of bookings, so no elbow to elbow pitches! (Pre-booking with non-refundable deposit required)
Whether you prefer more of a wild camping experience or electric hook-ups we can accommodate you. Half of the site has electric hook-up pitches and the other half of the site is pretty much wild (although it's only a hop, skip and a jump to the hot showers and flushing loos!).
Situated along the Waveney River our site is a great place to explore what the river, and Geldeston Village has to offer. Including two very different pubs; The Wherry Inn, an Adnams Pub managed by Janet & John only a third of a mile away and The Geldeston Locks now managed by Grain Brewery is roughly two thirds of a mile away.
There are nice local walks, plenty of birds to spot and even a ferry (The Big Dog Ferry) which can take you from our quay heading to Beccles or The Geldeston Locks.
We try to be pretty flexible as we just want you to come and enjoy our great space, however there are a few things we do ask...
Well behaved children welcome, children must be supervised by parents/responsible adults at all times as there is open, tidal water all around the site. Children also must be accompanied to the facilities by parents/responsible adults as this area is not a play area and is not to be left flooded etc. Nature play is greatly encouraged, however please if your children pull out sticks/branches/stones etc onto the field/into the mown bays please can you return them to where ever they came from before you leave as they can be a danger if not seen when mowing.
Please bring your own campfire pit that is held off the ground. We allow you to pitch where you like (which makes it easier for tents and caravans or motorhomes to pitch together) however we don't want burn marks all over our field.
Please clean up after your furry friends and keep them on leads in respect of the other campers.
Please empty all BBQs and fire pits safely in our bonfire site, so we don't have any unwanted wild fires!
Bring a washing up bowl - we have a kitchen area and sink but there isn't a sink plug, so we don't have a flooding problem if the tap is left on.
We are keen to recycle, so please try and follow the signs on site, normal waste is acceptable but please do not leave broken furniture or equipment behind.
